Overview of Verajoy Capital LLC

In June 2015, Verajoy Capital LLC (“Verajoy Capital”) was established in California to manage its affiliates’ real estate investment activities in the US.  With a team based in Redwood Shores, California, Verajoy Capital focuses on development and value-add real estate investment transactions in multifamily, office, and industrial sectors in Western United States. 

The Founding General Partners of Verajoy Capital include:

 


Dr. Xianhong Wu, Founder and Chairman of Verakin Group and Verajoy Holdings.

Mr. Wu holds a Ph.D in applied economy from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, and now post-doctor in applied economy in Peking University (on-going). Before Sep. 1998, Mr. Wu was a teacher in Capital University of Economics and Business. In Sep. 1998, Mr. Wu decided to go into business and founded Verakin Group, focusing on education and real estate development. On August 18 2014, he co-found Verajoy Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. and was appointed as Chairman and CEO of the company.  Since 1998, given his remarkable work, Mr. Wu has been given awards and honors such as the title of “The most socially responsible entrepreneur in China,” “Outstanding Contribution to Education,” “Outstanding Entrepreneurs in West,” “Excellent Entrepreneur in Private Sector” and so on. In addition, Mr. Wu also double his duties as supervisor of postgraduates in School of Economics of Peking University, and visiting professor and executive deputy chief of Peking University Guang Hua Tian Cheng Postdoc Station.
 
 
 Mr. Jun Yuan , Co-Founder and CEO of Verakin Group and Verajoy Capital.
 
Mr.Yuan had MBA study experience in Renmin University of China and Keuka College. Before cofounding Verakin Group, Mr. Yuan worked as sales man, reporter, had experience of running business of books and advertisement. Sep. 1998, together with Mr. Wu Xianhong, they founded Beijing Gongjing Investment Co.,Ltd, participated in the acquisition of Verakin High School of Chongqing, and cofounded Verakin Group, Chongqing Verakin Real Estate Co.,Ltd. Since the company decide to spend more resources in USA market, Mr. Yuan also double his duties as CEO of Verajoy Capital LLC.  
 
 




Hongmei Liu, CFO of Verakin Group and Verajoy Capital.

Ms. Liu has obtained master's degree in the major of real estate management in Greenwich University, a bachelor degree in Chongqing Institute of Commerce and Chinese CPA certification. Before joining in Verakin, She has successively worked in Chongqing Chinese Medicine Corp. Ltd.,  Tai Chi Group, Tongjunge Pharmacy Chain Co. Ltd, Chongqing Tianhua Tax Office and Union Credit Evaluation Co. Ltd, Chongqing Hongsheng Yuanjing Industrial (Group) Co. Ltd.. In August 2009, Ms. Liu joined us as GM of Financial Management Dept. of both Verakin Group and Chongqing Verakin Real Estate. In January 2011, she has been promoted to CFO of both Verakin Group Co., Ltd and Chongqing Verakin Real Estate Co., Ltd. In August 2014, Ms. Liu was designated by Verakin to Verajoy Holdings as Finance Responsible Person and CFO. Now Ms. Liu also double her duties as CFO in Verajoy Capital.  

 


Daniel Li, Managing Pricipal of Verajoy Capital LLC 

Daniel Li, an industry veteran with over 20 years of private equity and real estate private equity investment experience at Warburg Pincus and Capmark Financial Group (previously GMAC Commercial Mortgage) where he co-founded Capmark’s real estate investment business in Greater China in 2003.
 

Verajoy Capital aims to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns to its investors by leverage off the deal sourcing capabilities and investment experience of its General Partners all of whom have accumulated robust real estate investment track record over extensive time periods, and have committed to invest a significant portion of their personal net worth alongside Verajoy Capital’s managed accounts in order to achieve alignment of interest with its limited partners. 

Verajoy Capital also invests alongside certain operating partners with strong reputation, local market presence, and proven value-add and/or development capabilities.  While Verajoy Capital’s main geographic focus is Northern and Southern California, it also evaluates potential development/investment transactions in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Nevada.
